Hello there, yesterday we gave you the winners of the 2019 Housing Awards, and today we will be telling you about the 2019 eVolo Skyscraper Competition winners. The ideas do seem lacking in practicality but sure provide interesting futuristic architectural concepts. The ideas range from pollution-filtering skyscrapers to floating cities.
The annual eVolo Skyscraper Competition started in 2006. It recognizes ‘visionary ideas that through the novel use of technology, materials, programs, aesthetics, and spatial organizations, challenge the way we understand vertical architecture and its relationship with the natural and built environments.’
This year’s jury for the eVolo Skyscraper Competition comprised of Melike Alt?n?s?k, Vincent Callebaut, Marc Fornes, and Mitchell Joachim. The jury had a total of 478 entrants and has announced one winner, two runners-up and 27 honorable mentions.
