The basic difference is the requirements. A tractor is designed for heavy load carrying & high torque for cultivation purpose. Another side Car is designed for high speed.
Now the question is why A 5L tractor engine can not achieve the speed of a 5 liter car engine?
The answer is tractor gearbox is designed for higher torque where car gearbox is designed for higher speed.
The output shaft of a tractor is much more bigger than a car which cause more torque & less speed & vice versa for car.
So remind higher torque cause less speed & vice versa.
Let us now clearly identify the difference between these.
